Each zone will be its own segment and there will be toggle options that can be turned on and off by pressing the corresponding number.
These toggle numbers are the partitions. We recommend, for ease of programming, that you write your zone numbers down on a sheet of paper and then to the right of each zone number write its zone definition. That way you can just go down your list and type each number as you go. The common zone definitions are as follows. If you have a receiver that is not brand new then you will have to set it back to default. You can do this by following the steps below:.
On your keypad type. + 8 + Programming Code. You will then be asked device address.
We chose 33 as the receiver device address by setting the DIP switches in the receiver. So you’d type, for instance, 33 + #. After entering the device address you’ll be asked for location. You will then type 910 + #. Your receiver will now be at default.
Press ‘Exit’ twice. To learn in wireless devices; follow the steps below:. Outside of programming enter. + 8 + Programming Code. You will then enter the address of your wireless receiver that you set when adjusting the receiver’s DIP switches. You will then press # after entering the receiver number. Then you will type 0 + # to go into transmitter learning mode.
The next step is to decide which zone your wireless device will go on. For instance you if you chose zone 9 you will type 9 +. to put the device on zone 9. You will then see ‘Enter Location # (0). You will then learn in the wireless device by tripping the sensor, triggering the tamper by removing cover, or it or pressing a button depending on the device type. You should hear a ‘bing-bong’ sound if you were successful. Repeat Steps 3 through 6 using a different zone number for each wireless device.
After you finish learning in all of your wireless devices press the ‘Exit’ button twice to exit programming. Step 10 – Keypad Panic Programming To activate the panic buttons for Police, Fire and Medical on your keypad you will do the following steps. Final - A note on resistors By default the Interlogix NetworX alarm systems require the use of resistors. We recommend that you use End-Of-Line resistors always as they provide a measure of supervision to each zone and help to prevent tampering on the zone. If for some reason you can’t use resistors or don’t want to (not recommendedrecommended) then you can shut the usage of resistors off in the NetworX programming.
This is done by going into the Zone Type Characteristics locations and toggling off an option. Zone Type Characteristics Locations are as follows for each type of NetworX:. Interlogix NX-4 = Locations 111-149 (Pages 31-32 in manual). Interlogix NX-6 = Locations 111-169 (Pages 44-47 in manual). Interlogix NX-8 = Locations 111-169 (Pages 33-36 in manual). Interlogix NX-8E = Locations 111-169 (Pages 33-37 in manual) To turn off the use of resistors for each zone type you will go into the appropriate location.
When entering each location; you will start out in segment 1. The option for turning off resistor usage is in segment 4. In segment 4 you will turn on option 2.
This option is called ‘End of Line Resistor Defeat’. This will shut of resistor use for that particular zone type.
For example if you wanted to turn off resistor usage for a Zone Type 3 (Entry/Exit Delay 1) you would follow the steps below:. Type. + 8 + Programming Code to enter programming. At ‘Choose device address #’ you will type 0 + #.
