After a recent immobiliser problem requiring a battery disconnect - my radio has resorted to radio Code entry required, mode. Now here's the thing. Off the top of my head, I have no idea what the Code is.but I have a very useful sticker on the inside of the Service Log booklet which records: Chassis Number, Fabrication No, Model Year, Ignition key no; registration etc and.RADIO CODE. This is clearly printed - but when I try and enter it (following instructions in the manual) - it does not work. Result- One very frustrated driver. As I'm a Northerner - I am quite miserly with the pennies and don't really want to cough up dough to Renault to check the code.

Does any one have any ideas?? Just sorted mine out after a quick search elswhere on net. Instructions in the radios book tell you to use sat nav rotary control to adjust numbers for the code.

You have to use the thumbwheel on the steering columb radio controls. Turn it till the first number comes up then register it with the button underneath.do this for all four numbers then hold the button underneath till it beeps. If you get an error message you have to leave radio on for 1 min for 1st error then longer each time upto about 1/2 hr for radio to unlock itself so get it right eh. 1 min feels like ages.

If you have removed or disconnected your car battery you will often get the ‘input code’ message on your radio. This code should be printed on a sticker on one of the manuals that should come with your car. However these often get lost and can leave you with no radio. Firstly you will need to remove the radio and get the serial number from the side of the radio.
